#IStandWithIlhan! Yeah, ok…we’re all busy, have too many problems and no time to think about, much less give a damn about, people we don’t know in crisis in third world countries, where human rights are as alien as little green men from Mars, yet where crimes against humanity are increasingly endemic.
So since we’re all very busily tied up in our own little worlds, it’s of no little amazement that the brutal bullying, outrageous conspiracies and blatant lies about U.S. Representative for Minnesota’s 5th congressional district, Ilhan Omar, are worldwide entertainment playing out on mainstream media, triggering blogger and social media feeding frenzies, trailblazing virtual smoke throughout the worldwide web.
It’s always mind-blowing that many of us are incredibly shallow, leading some woefully boring lives, that we’re forced to take our pleasure joining in the appalling destruction and torment of an admirable young woman, who works to serve the people. It’s mind-boggling how we joyfully ostracise without valid proof.
We may be too busy to do what’s right, yet we obviously have oodles of time to gloat over injustices, adding our ignorance shamelessly into the tragic mix of fake news and deliberate misinformation as our wretched little lives thrive on the excitement of annihilating the public images of good honourable people.
Should I mention now or later that anyone undaunted about bad stuff happening to them and their loved ones, as bad stuff only happens to other people, might want to have a rethink? Now is probably a good time…Anyway, you know those protest marches and demonstrations you hear about in your cities? Well, they’re happening because human rights abuses and human rights violations are occurring at an ever-increasing rate in your neck of the woods, and tireless courageous human rights defenders are calling out your government leaders and representatives to hold them to account, demanding change to ensure your voices are never silenced and your civil liberties are protected.
Human rights advocacy is the war three young US Congresswomen: Ilhan Omar, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Rashida Tlaib, willingly signed up to fight for their people when they were voted into their respective offices by the American people. Without a doubt, these young women take their work to heart and have turned the racist, misogynistic Trump administration on its head.
Their passion for human rights on countless issues, from Trump’s overreaching self-declared executive powers against the US Constitution and his criminal activities, to demanding an end to homelessness and equality in medical care for everyone, to fighting for refugee asylum, to stop zero-tolerance immigration policies and the intolerable cruelty of tearing apart refugee families forcefully separating children from their parents and locking up migrants and children in filthy cages, to supporting the BDS movement and ending Israel’s illegal Occupation of Palestine, strikes immense paranoia and grave fear in the greedy coldblooded hearts of Zionists and far-right racist republicans, as well as certain democrats, on the payrolls of the Israeli lobbies, who in turn are paid by US taxpayers.
It’s simple deduction that wannabe Zionist journalists and far-right racist conspiracy theorists gun for Ilhan Omar, as she’s the one human rights warrior out of the three young Congresswomen not born in the US. As we know, she’s born Somali and became a naturalised US citizen. This makes her the most vulnerable to vindictive conjecture-based attacks. They’ve dug up their dirt of so-called immoral and “criminal” evidence against Ilhan centred mostly on her refugee asylum status when she was 9 to 12-years old.
She stands accused of alleged campaign funds’ mishandling, but knowing Donald Trump’s financial crimes involving hundreds of millions of $, even if the accusation against Ilhan Omar was fact, she came clean by repaying what was claimed she took illegally, and let’s get real, compared to Trump’s corruption, not to mention every politician in the White House who can be bought for the right price, Ilhan’s mistake is a small error in judgement.
Ilhan Omar, a born Somali Muslim woman, a minority, is the most outspoken US representative against Zionist Israel’s crimes against humanity of the Palestinian people. She is the staunchest supporter of the BDS movement. Predictably, her honesty is ANTISEMITIC as it’s creating problems for Apartheid Israel’s image of democracy and having “the most moral army in the world”. Zionist corruption knows no bounds. Sensationalism and fake news journalist David Steinberg has “worked” on Ilhan Omar’s character assassination for three years, and he’s not finished attempting to discredit, criminalize and destroy her with the unerring assistance of his xenophobic posse, so-called conspiracy theorist reporters Scott Johnson and Preya Samsundar.
Mr Steinberg calls himself an “independent journalist”, hence he’s not on any mainstream media’s payroll, allegedly. His selfless callous initiative in crushing Ilhan Omar has apparently put him a bit out of pocket, so on 18 July 2019, he audaciously created his own GoFundMe page entitled “Fund David Steinberg’s ‘Tipping Point’ Journalism”. His target is $25,000 and he’s conned close to $5,600 out of naïve followers so far.
The reprehensible behaviour of so-called journalists, professionals and politicians towards Ilhan Omar in mainstream and social medias should be criminally prosecuted. The glaringly ruthless insolence and vilifying on memes, cartoons, photoshopped photos and posts broadcasting Ilhan as “terrorist”, ANTISEMITIC, accused of “hating the US and the constitution”, marrying a “brother” who is never mentioned on any of Ilhan’s documentation, and decreeing her as criminal is beyond revolting. These morons are publicly executing a human rights defender’s public image pandering to the far-right racist and Israeli Zionist agendas.
Ilhan Omar is a sincere courageous woman for whom the American public should be thankful and proud to have as human rights defender fighting for their rights.
And by the way, one would hope that people know that in Islam, as well as other religions or cultures, it is customary to call unrelated fellow Muslims “brother” or “sister”.
The seditious provocations of character assassination against Ilhan Omar have impelled numerous xenophobic and Islamophobic death threats, and those racists, like Trump, instigating the relentless slander and media smear campaigns must be held criminally accountable. (A baseless smear targeting Ilhan Omar made its way to Trump thanks to Fox and these far-right figures – by Alex Kaplan, research coordinator at Media Matters with a focus on far-right media and fake news.)
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is experiencing her fair share of sadistically crude publicity, but she’s a born US citizen, as is Rashida Tlaib, and it’s more difficult to shut them up. However, unless the people rise up and stand with these Congresswomen, they too face a gruelling uphill battle.
To be absolutely clear, all this odious aggression is PR 101. It is deliberate and systematic sensationalism to steer the public awareness away from the real issues through intentional marginalising the very real human rights abuses and human rights violations perpetrated by the US government and its allies, specifically Israel, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Egypt and numerous African nations, who benefit from US arms deals and military aid by executing US agendas and protecting US foreign interests of resources and regime changes. Current predominant countries are Venezuela, Honduras, Colombia and Argentina, and in the Middle East Iraq, Afghanistan and Libya, to mention a few.
These are the real facts behind destroying Ilhan Omar, and likely eventually Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Rashida Tlaib. These are the real facts of false propaganda and PR exploitation obfuscating the greed for money, power and domination of sovereign nations by rich white racist men.
It doesn’t take Einstein intelligence to deduce that we’re getting dumber and lazier by the day while high-speed technology advances come at us at lightning speed, spinning our heads like the freaking “Exorcist” performing ALL our thinking and decision making for us. Technology forced on us, making us dependent, even addicted, upon the damn gadgets we can’t live without anymore, as everything is computerised.
To the one percenters, it’s crucial the sheeple are monitored 24/7 no matter where in the world we are. Precisely what entitled rich white men pay the elite geniuses and experts for: Absolute Power, Control and Domination.
Realistically the more technologically advanced the human race becomes, the more we unknowingly and involuntarily surrender our privacy and liberties. How often do we think of all the satellites above our beloved earth zooming in on us or CCTV cameras watching our every move on every street? How does it feel to be the target of facial recognition technology? How would we like to be stopped and searched because we might look like a suspect “terrorist”? How would we feel about demands of compulsory proof of ID while taking a simple walk around our neighbourhoods? How about being a minority, especially Black, arrested or shot without cause by racist police, who have no integrity or manifesto for principles of law and order, much less justice? This is what human rights abuse, human rights violations and oppression look like in our neck of the woods, i.e. the “western world”. This is what human rights defenders like Ilhan Omar are fighting against to protect our inalienable human rights.
